Aircon Servicing in Bukit Purmei
When your air conditioner starts blowing warm air, leaking water, making noise, or giving off a musty smell, it is usually a sign that the system needs proper servicing. At 338 Aircon, we provide reliable aircon servicing. Bukit Purmei homeowners and tenants can book with confidence.
With 15 years of experience in aircon services in Singapore, our team understands how Singapore’s humid climate, daily usage, HDB layouts, and dust buildup can affect your indoor fan coil, drainage pipe, filters, evaporator coil, and outdoor condenser. A regular service helps clean key components, improve airflow, reduce the risk of water leakage, and keep your air conditioner running more efficiently.
Whether you live in an HDB flat near Bukit Purmei Avenue, Bukit Purmei Road, Telok Blangah, or the wider Bukit Merah area, we can help. Contact us for professional, efficient service from a highly qualified technician who arrives on time and handles the work carefully.
Common Aircon Servicing Issues We Solve in Bukit Purmei
Aircon Not Cold or Weak Airflow
Many customers call us when the air from their unit is no longer cold enough. This can happen due to dirty air filters, clogged evaporator coils, weak fan motors, low refrigerant levels, or poor airflow inside the fan coil. In Singapore, aircon units often run for long hours, especially in bedrooms and living rooms. Over time, dust and moisture can accumulate in the system, reducing cooling performance. If ignored, the compressor may work harder, electricity bills may rise, and the unit's service life may shorten.
Our technician will inspect the air filter, fan coil, blower, refrigerant pressure, drainage condition, and outdoor condenser based on the symptoms. We clean key parts, flush the drainage line where needed, and test the air temperature to ensure that the unit cools properly again. For standard servicing jobs, most appointments are completed efficiently, and the service is explained clearly before we leave.
Aircon Leaking Water
A leaking aircon is one of the most common problems in Bukit Purmei HDB homes. Water dripping from the indoor unit may be due to a clogged drainage pipe, a dirty drain tray, a blocked fan coil, a poor installation gradient, or excessive condensation. Because Singapore is humid year-round, moisture in the aircon system can quickly combine with dust, algae, and mould. If the issue is not fixed early, water may damage walls, flooring, furniture, and electrical components.
338 Aircon checks the drain tray, drainage pipe, fan coil, and surrounding components to identify the likely cause. We flush the drainage system, clear any visible blockages, clean the filter and coil, and test the water flow to ensure the unit drains properly. Our 1-month leak-free warranty after servicing gives you extra peace of mind once the job is done.
Dirty, Smelly, or Mouldy Aircon
If your aircon smells unpleasant, feels stuffy, or causes the room to feel dusty, the unit may have accumulated mould, bacteria, dust, and dirt inside the fan coil. This is common when the system is used daily but not cleaned regularly. A dirty air conditioner may also affect indoor air quality, especially for families with children, elderly parents, or anyone sensitive to dust. Some of our customers also notice that the aircon looks clean on the outside but still smells bad when turned on.
Our servicing includes cleaning accessible parts of the indoor fan coil, air filter, drain tray, and blower area. If the buildup is heavy, we may recommend a chemical wash or chemical overhaul for a deeper clean. We are careful to explain the difference so that you choose only what is suitable for the unit's condition.
Noisy Aircon or Poor System Performance
A noisy aircon may be caused by a dirty blower wheel, loose parts, a worn fan motor, a blocked air passage, or issues with the outdoor condenser. Some customers also experience aircon units switching off unexpectedly, cooling unevenly, or taking a long time to cool the room. These signs may point to poor maintenance, ageing components, electrical issues, or restricted airflow. In Bukit Purmei, where many homes rely on aircon every night, small issues can quickly become frustrating.
Our team carries out a practical inspection to identify likely causes before cleaning and servicing the unit. We check the airflow, fan coil condition, drainage line, basic electrical components, and overall system performance. When repair is needed, we will explain the issue clearly before proceeding. Thank you for trusting our team to keep your home cool and comfortable.

Why Quality Aircon Services are Crucial for Your Air Conditioner

Improved Efficiency
During an aircon servicing, the aircon technicians look over the aircon completely, ensuring that every part is working as intended.
During a service, the filters are cleaned, the condenser is checked, and any blocked or leaking pipes are identified and repaired. This prevents unexpected issues and enhances the lifespan of the equipment itself.

Reduced Energy Bills
In general, better-maintained equipment will operate more effectively. A poorly maintained air con unit uses more energy in order to function.
With regular aircon servicing, we help your air conditioner function the way it should without consuming excessive power.

Cleaner Air
During an aircon service session, we clean the air filters and internal components of the appliance, improving the quality of air in your home.
With cleaner air free of germs, dust, and other impurities, the chances of falling sick at home would be reduced significantly.

Proactively Addresses Possible Issues
Similar to a general health check-up, aircon servicing allows us to identify and repair any potential aircon problems before they become major issues
That's why it's important to set up a regular AC maintenance schedule with a trusted aircon services provider like 338.

338's 10 Steps for Your General Aircon Service

Step 1: Clean & check the air filter, front panel & cover
First steps of the servicing start from the outer parts. The unit cover will be removed, and the air filter will be cleaned.

Step 2: Remove water tray
The water tray functions to gather water before it flows to the drainage pipe. All the dust, jelly, dirt and other debris that are stuck inside will be cleaned and vacuumed.

Step 3: Clean & check indoor cooling coil
The fan coil unit (FCU) will be vacuumed properly in an up-down motion and repeatedly in order to not miss any spots.

Step 4: Flush drainage tray
The vacuum will be left attached for around 1-2 minutes at the end of the drainage pipe to clear any clogged dirt inside.

Step 5: Check outdoor condenser coil refrigerant level
The technician will check if all the fan coils are working properly by placing their hand and checking if there is any condensation.

Step 6: Check outdoor unit refrigerant level
We then double-check the condenser unit to make sure that there is still enough gas. If necessary, the compressor suction and discharge pressure will be assessed too.

Step 7: Clean & check evaporator coil
The evaporator coil will be checked, followed by vacuuming and brushing the blow to ensure nothing hinders blower rotation.

Step 8: Reattach the water tray
After all of the above steps are done, the water tray will be reattached again. We make sure it attaches properly and fully with a click.

Step 9: Tighten electrical components and fan bearing.
We also double-check and make sure that there aren't any loose parts left before wrapping up the cleaning of the unit.

Step 10: Reattach FCU Cover
Wipe down and clean any leftover water and make sure unit is dry. Reattach the FCU Cover and we are done! Your unit has now undergone proper general servicing.

Aircon Units Serviced
FAQs
How much does aircon servicing in Bukit Purmei cost?
Aircon servicing in Bukit Purmei with 338 Aircon starts from $65 for one-time servicing. If you want long-term maintenance, our quarterly aircon servicing package starts from $240 per year. First-time customers can also get 4 units serviced for only $90.
The cost depends on the number of units, the condition of the aircon, and whether extra work, such as chemical wash, chemical overhaul, repair, or gas top-up, is required. We keep pricing clear and explain recommendations before starting additional work. For an accurate quote, call +65 93234141.
How often should I service my aircon in Singapore?
In Singapore, most homes should service their aircon every 3 to 4 months, especially if the unit is used daily. The humid climate causes dust, moisture, mould, and algae to build up faster inside the fan coil and drainage system.
For light usage, servicing every 6 months may be enough. For bedrooms, rental units, HDB flats, and homes where the aircon runs every night, quarterly servicing is usually more sensible. It helps prevent leaking, weak cooling, and unpleasant smells before they become bigger issues.
What is included in normal aircon servicing?
Normal aircon servicing usually includes cleaning the air filter, checking the fan coil, cleaning accessible parts, flushing the drainage pipe when needed, inspecting the drain tray, checking airflow, and testing the cooling performance. The technician may also check for unusual noise, water leakage, or signs of poor system performance.
At 338 Aircon, we focus on practical maintenance to ensure your aircon runs more smoothly. If we notice deeper issues, such as heavy dirt buildup or recurring leaks, we may recommend a chemical wash or further troubleshooting.
Why is my aircon not cold even after cleaning the filter?
If your aircon is not cold even after cleaning the filter, the issue may be deeper inside the system. Common causes include a dirty evaporator coil, a clogged blower, low refrigerant, a blocked condenser, a faulty fan motor, or poor airflow.
A clean filter is helpful, but it is only one part of the air conditioner. Our technician checks the system more thoroughly to determine whether the problem is due to dirt, drainage, gas pressure, or mechanical wear. This allows us to recommend the right solution instead of relying on guesswork.
What causes an aircon to leak water?
An aircon usually leaks water because the drainage pipe is clogged, the drain tray is dirty, or the fan coil has too much dust and moisture buildup. In Singapore, this often happens because aircon units produce condensation when they cool humid air.
If the drainage path is blocked, water may overflow from the indoor unit. Regular servicing helps clear the drainage line and reduce the risk of leakage. 338 Aircon also provides a 1-month leak-free warranty after servicing for added assurance.
Do I need a chemical wash or a chemical overhaul?
You may need a chemical wash if your aircon has weak airflow, an unpleasant odour, heavy dirt buildup, or poor cooling, even after regular servicing. A chemical overhaul is a more extensive service and may be needed when the unit is severely clogged, repeatedly leaking, or performing poorly.
Not every unit needs chemical cleaning. A professional technician should inspect the aircon first and determine whether standard servicing is sufficient. At 338 Aircon, we recommend based on the unit's condition and the customer’s needs.
How long does aircon servicing take?
Most standard aircon servicing appointments take about 30 to 60 minutes per unit, depending on the condition of the aircon and the number of units being serviced. If the unit is very dirty or there are drainage issues, it may take longer.
For multiple units, our team will work efficiently while still taking the time to properly check the filters, fan coil, drain tray, and cooling performance. We aim to be on time, fast, and efficient while maintaining a high standard of work.
Can regular aircon servicing reduce electricity bills?
Yes, regular aircon servicing can help reduce electricity bills by allowing the unit to cool more efficiently. When filters, coils, and blowers are dirty, the aircon needs to work harder to produce cold air. This can increase energy use and put more strain on the compressor.
Routine servicing helps restore airflow, improve cooling performance, and reduce unnecessary stress on the system. While savings vary by usage and unit condition, regular maintenance is one of the simplest ways to support better efficiency.
Is quarterly aircon servicing worth it for HDB homes?
Yes, quarterly aircon servicing is often worth it for HDB homes in Bukit Purmei, especially if the aircon is used every night. HDB units can accumulate dust, moisture, and mould inside the aircon due to regular usage and Singapore’s humid climate.
A quarterly plan helps keep the system cleaner and reduces the chance of water leakage, weak cooling, and unpleasant odours. It also makes it easier to budget for maintenance over the year. Our quarterly packages start from $240 per year.
How do I choose a reliable aircon servicing company in Bukit Purmei?
Choose an aircon company with proper licensing, relevant experience, transparent pricing, and clear service guarantees. It also helps to look for trained technicians, responsive communication, and a company that explains what your unit needs before doing extra work.
338 Aircon is BCA Licensed ME01, has 15 years of experience, and serves customers islandwide in Singapore. Many customers want someone who is polite and professional, does a good job, and provides great service without making booking difficult.
